Professor Remo Ceserani
Professor Ceserani is an Italian literature specialist who teaches at the University of Bologna. This year he has been at the University of Zurich. He is presently a visiting professor at Stanford University. He holds a laurea in lettere moderne from the University of Milan, and has done graduate study at Yale University. He has received Smith-Mundt and Fulbright grants and a Goethe Institute Grant,and has taught and lectured at many Italian and American universities,as well as universities throughout the world. He has been president of the Italian Association of Comparative Literature,and was founder,with two colleagues from the University of Siena, of the International School of Comparative Literature.
His lecture - “The Gaze of Medusa: Literature and Photography” -will be presented on February 11.
