Why Baroque Architecture Matters Today
Professor Thomas Gustav Beischer has taught many courses in architectural history and theory at Stanford University, the California College of the Arts and St Mary’s College. He has addressed numerous conferences throughout the United States on a wide array of architectural and community design subjects, and has published a number of articles on a diversity of architectural topics. Professor Beischer received a B.A. from Stanford University in Art History, an M.A. in Art History from Williams College, and a Doctorate in History, Theory and Criticism of Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has been the recipient of several prestigious grants and awards including a Fulbright Grant for Ph.D. research in the Netherlands,and a Getty Library Research Grant at the Getty Research Institute in Santa Monica.
