Howard Case
“All About Olive Oil” Howard Case is president of Casa de Case, an importer of fine Italian olive oil. He supplies many of the Bay Area’s finest restaurants, including the French laundry, Farallon, and Jardiniere. Mr. Case also teaches a class on the basics of olive oil at San Francisco City College. His oils are imported from Umbria, Puglia, and Calabria. Besides learning how to read the confusing labels on bottles, you will see how the olive oil is made, and why the quality of many Italian olive oils is so high. Mr. Case and his wife, Kristina, will also present interesting photos as well as samples of the new pressed oil for you to taste.
